Religious Studies is all about understanding the impact of religious beliefs and faith in the world. We do an in-depth theological study of Christianity and Islam, and then apply this to ethical issues. Religious Studies encourages students to understand that different people perceive and experience the world in numerous ways. This encourages empathy, tolerance and respect. Every child will have the opportunity to learn in multiple ways. Lessons are regularly based around big questions and students are encouraged to take part in discussions and debates regularly. Religious Studies provides the opportunity to study a truly fascinating subject: it will help students to debate big moral issues, understand and analyse a diverse range of opinions, as well as to think about and consider the meaning of life for themselves.
