The Academy’s curriculum in Secondary (years 7 to 11) provides both academic and vocational learning opportunities to suit the wide ranging needs of our pupils. Pupils make option choices in the spring term of Year 8 and start their qualification courses in September, as well as continuing their Core curriculum studies in English, Mathematics, Science, Humanities, RE, PE and Enterprise.

Pathways include access to the English Baccalaureate and some opportunities to learn in vocational environments such as with Forest Schools. Higher attainers are also encouraged to take extension courses in the core subjects including English Literature, Statistics and Triple Science, and in some cases, access to higher qualifications.
