Year 2 had an amazing time learning about the Great Fire of London this term! As part of our learning, we built houses in the style of Tudor and Stuart times and took them to the forest school, where we saw a fire in action! We were amazed at how quickly the fire spread along our very own Pudding Lane.

We learned that during the fire, people tried to create firebreaks by demolishing some houses, while other people buried their belongings in the ground to keep them safe! We have had a wonderful time learning this topic.

We have been learning all about money in maths this term. On Friday, the children put their knowledge to the test in our very own shop! They used a mixture of coins to “buy” items with prices up to 75p. Next week, we are excited to learn about pounds!
