Admissions for Pre-School and Nursery

Admissions for Reception
Information for parents and carers of children starting school for the first time or moving to our Reception class from a playgroup or nursery.
Please note that the Admission Policy for 2024 has been replaced on 27th February 2024 with this version, because the previous version published contained changes to the criteria determined in 2023 which were brought in without consultation as required under the School Admissions Code 2021 which were therefore unlawful. The admission number for Reception is 60.
The first step in applying for a place is for parents/carers to complete the common application form for the Local Authority where they live. Information about how to apply and the online application form for Leicester City Council is available at the link below:
All applications must be submitted in this way. The Academy is not able to accept admissions directly. The closing date for application forms is published on the Leicester City Council website each year. After this date, you can still apply but the application will be processed as a late application and will be dealt with after those that were submitted by the closing date. If you already have a child at the Academy, please make sure you state this on your form.

Appeals
The Academy appeals process is dealt with by the Diocese of Leicester Board of Education and the forms can be found via the following link:
