Our Reception children have spent their first few weeks settling in to their new classroom and routine. They enjoyed their first lunch in the school restaurant with their families who were able to support and share this time with them. Another first time experience for many of them was visiting our Forest School, where they were very busy exploring, balancing, climbing, building and swinging. This environment offers them the unique opportunity to challenge their gross motor abilities alongside developing their teamwork, planning, problem solving and perseverance skills. 

In our indoor and outdoor classroom the children have been settling in to some familiar as well as new friendships as they experience all that the provision offers them. They have been engaging in fine motor tasks and activities, stories and the introduction of phonics and maths lessons. All the children have done so well to settle in and we look forward to the year ahead.
