Year 4 have loved exploring nature through art. They used clay work to make nests and included some natural materials in their pieces.

Year 4 went on our geography field trip to investigate rivers. We looked at the natural impact and the human impact on the river, and learnt lots about floodplains, and flooding mechanisms. We even enjoyed a quick visit to the playpark before coming back!

As a part of our States of Matter topic in Science, Year 4 have been investigating changing states. The particles inside a material are tightly packed together when they are a solid, but when they start to heat up, the particles vibrate more and more and start to slide over each other – melting! We explored melting chocolate (delicious!) and melting ice cubes.
