Despite a wet and rainy day at County Athletics in Loughborough, staff and students kept spirits high while sheltering under a tree between events. We took 18 students to compete against the best athletes from across the county, proudly representing West Leicestershire. Every student showed tremendous effort, determination and resilience throughout the day, never giving up despite the challenging weather conditions. Our first medals of the day came in the final event, making the wait worthwhile. Congratulations to Tyrese, who won a gold medal in the Year 7 Boys’ Shot Put, and Mychaela, who secured a silver medal in the Year 7 Girls’ Shot Put. A fantastic achievement for all involved and a day the team can be proud of.
