Our Year 5 pupils recently enjoyed an exciting educational visit to the Space Centre, where they explored the wonders of space and science through interactive exhibits and hands-on activities. The children were fascinated by learning about planets, astronauts, rockets, and life beyond Earth. One of the highlights of the day was the immersive planetarium show, which brought the solar system to life. It was a fantastic opportunity to deepen their understanding of space while inspiring curiosity, teamwork, and a love of learning.

In year 5, we have been learning about The Explorer by Katherine Rundell. As part of our writing, we have been writing instructions on how to build a raft. We ventured out into the forest to build rafts of our own and tested whether they would help us to survive the Amazon River.
