Year 4 enjoyed spending time pretending to be gladiators, and then used their experience to enhance their diary writing skills. It would have been a tough life fighting in the colosseum! 

As a part of Science Week 2026, Year 4 asked themselves “How can I make the paper aeroplane go further?” They were tasked to experiment making different types of paper aeroplanes and then testing how well they could fly. The children loved asking each other questions and helping each other make their planes go further.

Year 4 had a fantastic day celebrating World Book Day! Year 3 and 4 joined and spent the day completing activities based on “Alice in Wonderland”. The costumes and pyjamas were wonderful and the children had so many new experiences during the day. 

In Science today, Year 4 were exploring how to make a light bulb light up. The sounds of joy when they discovered the light bulb turning on were lovely to hear.  They experimented with different amounts of cables, light bulbs and batteries.
