World Book Day

The children had lots of fun coming into school in their pyjamas or costumes; we did A LOT of reading!! The children had a go at acting out some of the stories they have read, and they created their own bookmarks to take home.

Road Safety

We have been learning about keeping safe when out and about. The children showed wonderful understanding of needing to hold an adult’s hand to cross the road. We looked at how important it is to stop, think, listen, look both ways, check there are no cars coming, listen again while looking, and then cross when an adult tells them to. We played stop and go games using the road signs and signals they would see when crossing at the traffic lights. We also used the car mats and dolls to practice our newfound skills.

Spring Walk

This term the children have been learning about spring and what happens during this season. We went for a walk around the field to see what we could find. The children had an amazing time listening to the birds, picking daisies, and enjoying the sunshine.

Mother’s Day

All of our Pre-School parents were invited to our Mother’s Day celebration. The children planted sunflower seeds, designed a flower, and created beautiful artwork using their fingers. The children loved showing their parents around the classroom.

Founders Day

The children were impressed by the lorries and were very eager to go inside! They all had a go at being a driver and learnt how to keep safe when near a truck. When they went inside the trailer, they loved hearing their voices echo. They learnt about what the lorries are used for, how they keep the food fresh and the importance of using a seatbelt when travelling in a vehicle.
