This term as a part of our topic ‘Me in My World’ we have been learning about the season spring. As a part of this we have enjoyed nature walks around the school grounds looking for changes in our environment. During our literacy lessons we have been using our touch, smell, notice and hear lenses to focus our conversations and writing. 

As we have learnt about spring, we have started to grow our very own beans which fitted very nicely with our Jack and the Beanstalk story of the week. The children have been enthusiastic at making sure they have enough light and water to grow.

World Book Day was a highlight for us this term. The children enjoyed moving around different classrooms and being immersed in various activities related to the different focus books of each class.

We celebrated Mother’s Day by having a ‘Mothers and Special People’ assembly. The children enjoyed reciting a poem, singing a song and showing their paintings of their mums alongside something they enjoy doing with their mum or something they liked about their mum.
