In Year 5 we have been feeling festive in October and had fun learning about The Snowman. We made our own paper snowmen and created instructions for how to build one. 

Today Year 5 thought and discussed about the conflict between the Anglo-Saxons and Vikings. We focused on the decisions that were made by each side and whether the Anglo-Saxons should pay off the Vikings to stop them from attacking. 

The children took part in a Viking workshop where they were able to dress up like Vikings. They also had the chance to carve their Viking name into wood as well as weaving just like a real Viking. They all enjoyed the experience and had a great morning learning more about our British history.
