On Friday, Year 4 took part in Roman day. We played games from Roman times, tried on armour and shields, took part in a workshop where we became Roman soldiers and had to defeat the Celts and even watched a gladiator battle. We all learnt lots of new facts to build on during this term as we increase our Roman knowledge and we’re glad that we really aren’t Roman soldiers. 

This morning Year 4 had an informative workshop from Water Aid; we learnt about how other people from different countries get water so that they can drink and wash themselves and their clothes. We also looked at the importance of the water cycle and how lack of rain can impact them. We learnt lots of new facts that we are now able to put into our writing in our English lessons, where we are learning about the importance of water.
