Race to 50:

In Reception we celebrated 4 children who have had amazing attendance at school thus far and were rewarded with some time on a bouncy castle. These children had such fun bouncing and tumbling about! We are really proud of them coming in to school every day and making the most of their learning opportunities. 

Kite flying:

With the wind being quite strong for our last forest school outing we decided to make and fly some kites on the field. The Reception children cut, coloured, taped and personalised their kites before heading outside to test them. After all our running, flying and stomping in the mud we had a lovely discussion about which type of kite flew the best and why we thought that may be. Well done to all the children who participated with such enthusiasm and care, often stopping to help a friend with their kite when needed.

Chinese New Year:

Today the children have been celebrating Chinese New Year. As a part of the lunar new year celebrations, we have been learning about how it is celebrated, we made cards for family and friends, coloured in pictures to share, pretended to make and eat special meals and worked together to make a dragon. What fun it has been!
