The first two weeks of Spring term have been amazing; the children have settled into class and have already started to form positive relationships with each other. The children absolutely loved the story owl babies. Towards the end of the week, the children were beginning to act out the story using props and beginning to remember simple phases from the book. The activities in the room were based around owl babies. The children created owls using playdough, cones, and feathers. They had a go at drawing their own owls using reference pictures. For Maths the children also made two groups of piles for the owls. One group for big objects and one group for little object. On Thursday the children got to meet ‘Jenny Jigsaw’ and everyone gave Jenny a hug and introduced themselves to her. Jenny is here to help the children develop their PHSE skills through exciting activities.
