In Science, Year 1 have been looking closely at animals, comparing the differences and similarities.

The children discussed the structure of a dog, including why he has fur and how his tail helps him, and identified which other animals may be similar. The children identified Murphy as a carnivore.

The children discussed how the tortoise had a hard shell to hide underneath, and they said his body was scaly and not soft like Murphy the dog. The children identified that Guzepi is a herbivore.
