It has been lovely to see so many smiling faces back at school and everyone has been eager to start to learn our new topics. This term in Year 4, we are learning about sound in Science. We started off discussing what we thought sound was and then thought about where the quietest and nosiest areas might be in the school. We went on a Sound Walk to discover if our predictions were correct and learnt that our classroom is the quietest place in school to learn.  

This week in Science Year 4 have been looking at how Sound travels. We discussed how a tuning fork makes ripples in water and then acted out how the particles move because of the vibrations. We then made telephones using cups and strong and investigated how sound travels through them.
