In Year 3 as part of our Rocks and Fossils topic we have been looking at the different types of soil. We discussed what makes a fair test and how to carry out an experiment. The children made a prediction and then tested which soil allows water to pass through the quickest. The children looked at different fossils using magnifying glasses to get a closer look into how they are made. We then used this knowledge to create our very own ammonite using salt dough. 

In history we have been looking at chronology and understanding the past. We have learnt what BC and AD means. The children were able to put different events on to a timeline.
