Our Reception classes welcomed parents to our first Fab Friday event of the year! It was a huge success and we enjoyed sharing some games and activities with a reading focus. We will have plenty more opportunities for our parents to share in our learning journeys throughout the year.

October has been a very exciting time for us in Reception. The Children have loved reading Pumpkin Soup and were so excited to make and eat their own soup. This exciting experience lead to the children writing some recipes to be proud of. 

The change in season has been a big part of October. The children have enjoyed forest school and going on walks to see the changes and collect leaves. We have been looking at bonfire night and have been reading a poem, learning about how and why we celebrate. 

In maths the children have been mastering counting objects up to 5 and comparing amounts using the language, more than, fewer than and equal. In PSHE we have been celebrating our differences and learning that even though we are all different we can still be friends.
