Year 1 have been learning all about materials in Science. This week we had lots of fun investigating which material would make a suitable waterproof roof for Teddy’s house. We looked at different materials, made a prediction and conducted a fair test…the cling film seemed to be a clear winner! Teddy can now continue with building his house knowing he will stay dry with all this rain!

Year 1 had the pleasure of taking part in a travelling toy workshop. The workshop was delivered by the Creative Learning Services and had the children engaged from start to finish. The children were shown some dolls and toys that dated back 100 years! They behaved very well and were very careful. The fun was exploring and playing with games and toys we had never come across before. A fantastic day we will remember!
