Your child will join a college when he/she enters the Academy and will remain within that college throughout his/her school career. All aspects of support for his/her academic progress and pastoral care will take place within the college. Your child’s named college does not imply that they have a particular aptitude or interest. Your child will have access to the same curriculum provision, choices and Academy facilities irrespective of his/her college.

Once your child reaches Secondary level, each college contains a selection of students from every school year from 7-11. This “family grouping” will provide your child with opportunities to learn about leadership and responsibility and take an active role in supporting and encouraging other students. It will also provide your child with a much broader knowledge and understanding of all aspects of school life.

There are four colleges – Cambridge, Durham, Oxford and Warwick – and each college comprises of a College Leader, supported by a College Assistant Lead, a team of tutors, a College Mentor and College admin support.
